FIIs and promoters both sold during the June quarter.

I carry out this activity every month and the data below was processed on the 1st of October. Data is for the June 2026 quarter and is awaiting the September quarter numbers. Only companies having a market cap of more than 100 crores are taken into the dataset, and I believe it was approximately 3180 companies. During the June quarter, promoters were unloading stocks, and they have probably unloaded more during the September quarter. As you know, the majority of FIIs, or 93 percent of FIIs, are in top liquid companies, which are also index stocks. Most of the stocks were cut. A very small amount went into IPOs compared to what FIIs sold. The interesting part is that DIIs are accumulating quality mid-caps and index stocks. Let's see what the 1st of November shows.
