Aadhaar, DigiLocker, CoWIN: same story. Government backing, institutions on board, and scale followed.
Payments, we treat as national infrastructure. Our public conversation, we rent.
No Indian social app will grow, however good it is, until government and big backing show up the same way.
Until then, we’ll keep trending “India needs its own app” every few months, and nothing will change.
Our public voice never got that.
