Scientists have discovered a rare new plant named Thismia daemona, or the "devil flower," in western Thailand. Key Facts About the "Devil Flower" ▫️Appearance: It features mostly black petals, horn-like appendages on a dome-shaped top, and vivid reddish-orange patches that look like glowing demon eyes. ▫️Location: It was found in Thong Pha Phum National Park at an elevation of nearly 1,000 meters (3,280 feet) ▫️Survival Style: It has no chlorophyll and does not use sunlight. Instead, it stays underground and steals nutrients from fungi. ▫️Conservation Status: Experts consider it Critically Endangered because fewer than 50 individual plants exist in a very small area near tourist paths. #ThismiaDaemona #Botany #PlantScience
