India’s long-delayed effort to acquire the US-made Javelin anti-tank missile has taken a new turn, with Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) selected as the main Indian partner to explore co-production of the weapon in the country.
The announcement comes as Prime Minister Narendra Modi heads into key engagements with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit today.
