The famous "matchbox saree" was crafted by Nalla Vijay Kumar, an award-winning handloom weaver from Sircilla, Telangana. He gifted the unique 5.5-meter, traditional Ikkat-patterned silk saree to Goddess Bhramaramba at the Srisailam temple.
Despite being a full-sized garment, it weighs only 200 grams, and its incredibly fine weave allows it to be folded so small that it easily fits into a standard Matchbox
