The invasive Giant African Snail (Lissachatina fulica) is swarming the Tirunavaya panchayat and Malappuram district in Kerala. Thriving in warm, humid conditions, these snails threaten local ecosystems, consume over 500 types of plants and crops, and pose severe public health risks, such as transmitting the rat lungworm parasite.
